Fluorite – The Clarity Stones

The stone that named the phenomenon.

Fluorescence is called fluorescence because of this mineral. Under a UV beam, fluorite answers in cool blue-violet — a soft inner light rising out of a stone that looked ordinary a moment ago. In daylight it's banded green and purple. In the dark, it's something else entirely.
